Description
I always find viewing large bodies of water to be very relaxing. Of course that wouldn't be true if the day was stormy. But that wasn't the case this day.
Full-sized view provides more of the feeling of being well away from land.
This was my view off the back of the Cross-Sound Ferry between Orient Point (Long Island, NY) and New London, Connecticut. The crossing takes about 1 1/2 hours.
Ahhhh, good, my Toyota is still safe and sound right where I parked it (Left front).

A wonderful shot, Bill. Excellent work. Hugs. Di. xx
Wonderful capture Bill its amazing how these things float with all the weight they have to carry, Excellent well done..
Great capture of open water. Is this ferry still seasonal?
Ah, water. Always did it for Deb and me too! Great shot. A Toyota? Not an MG or something? Tut Tut!!! Rob
NICE.......
You obviously arrived at the front of the que.Excellent vista, you could have done a Rob quiz, identify the different cars.I think with car ferries I'd rather park somewhere in the middle, up front (back) like that i'd have to keep going back to check the handbrake. Thanks Bill, another great piece.
Same here Bill, I try to spend as much spare time as can down the Cornish coast. Soon as I saw this I thought the same as Neil, this would make an excellent quiz for Rob to have a go at :) All that's missing here is the smell of the sea air. Fantastic shot :)
I agree with Emil-arts, all that is missing is the smell of the sea air and possibly the splash of the water against the ferry too. Wonderful shot!
Great work! Well done, Clive
Nice shot. Who says your Toyota can't cross water without a bridge.
