Description

Koosah Falls is about a 15 minute walk downstream from Sahalie Falls and just as pretty. The Waterfalls Northwest site has this to say about it: "Koosah Falls is the largest of the three major waterfalls of the McKenzie River. Spreading out over a wide undercut basalt ledge, the river thunders 82 feet into a huge pool with several small springs feeding into the river adjacent. The volume of the river greatly changes the appearance of the falls. In modest flows during the summer, the falls appear as one or two segments, but during the peak of snowmelt, the river spreads across the whole ledge, becoming a 100 foot wide wall of ear-splitting foam." Gorgeous capture ... It looks like 3 separate falls, it must be so beautiful during full peak.

A graceful fall for this river. Nicely composed with the trees and rail. I bet it is something special to see. I hope we see more of you around here. I love your work.

Looks like you got in on he ear-splitting foam! (Now that's some tough foam!!) I really like the way the different streams cross and crash over each other. :)
