Description
My Nana and Grandpa (Mom's parents) talking in our yard. They are both fairly old; Nana is getting quite rickety and is mostly blind, plus her hearing is pretty bad. So Grandpa takes care of her. Their relationship can look a bit controlling from the outside but they love each other very much. They're both really tough people and don't like to be treated like babies. It's a complicated situation that I don't feel comfortable going into any more details here. Hope you enjoy the picture.

This is superb! Well done, and knowing a bit about them makes it all the more interesting.
acs, I have dealt with a lot of couples who've had illness, loss of sight or limb, etc, and I was very close to those in my life. This is a gorgeous capture of everything you wrote about. Whatever guided you, instinct, feeling, just the moment, you captured the posture...your grandmother's searching look, and your grandfather somehow hovering over her as protection. It's in the picture, your words are in the picture. And while your grandmother looks searching, perhaps unsure, she is protected by the presence and protective eaves of her beloved husband. A lifetime in a moment...touching, truly, and very personal.
May God bless.
Touching. I always say that outsiders need to remain outside other relationships...it's all about what works for the couple. And this seems to be working. Great shot.
A timeless shot. Thanks for sharing it.
ther is the history of human storongly!!!!
