Description
This simple footpath leads over the dunes from our camp grounds at Hither Hills, New York State Park to the ocean. Time is about five minutes before the setting sun begins to turn the western sky to orange. We're looking south here. The ocean has been unusually calm today. The water temperature just right for a swim. The last time I visited this spot was in 1979... Time stands still here. Nothing has changed in 29 years.
