Imagine a frenzie of sudden thrashing, water slapping, splashing sounds. The water's surface near the rocky shore suddenly is ablaze with riling, frothing activity!
Large Blue Fish and Striped Bass are feeding between these three anglers. These fish are of the 20-25 pound size. Blue Fish are cutting through a school of small fish near the water's surface. Bass wait patiently below this turmoil eating every morsel of small fish dropping below the attacking Blue Fish.
Location is Montauk Point, Long Island, New York, Sep 14, 2008.
I've never seen anything like this. With a little luck I'll see it again, but the next time with a surf casting rod in hand :-)

What a thrilling shot. I can see the taughtness of the fisherman as they lay into the boil. Fabulous shot, excellent opportunity and you did so much better than I could have done because I would have ran to put the camera down and begged a roll of line and hook to join in! LOL
