Description
In the Japanese Garden at the Arboretum.
This is a flowering plum or flowering cherry, I'm not sure which. It's too late in the year for flowers, and I forgot to take a picture of the bark. THAT was clever! Oh well. I was so taken with the natural backlighting (of course) that I'm sure I wasn't thinking of anything else.
(Full view is like being there.)

Gorgeous light! Lucky you to be able to catch this, and it's a beautiful shot!
Oh lovely shot.
MUY HERMOSO TARA..........
Oooohhhhhhhhhhh, all those lovely shades of green! Just like a burgeoning Spring! This is great!
Beautiful capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Close foreground silhouetting, sharp clarity, a vast spectrum of green color, and tons of leaves in this shot.
Beautiful..Jen
Brilliant capture Tara, love the different green tones.
They don't look like cheery leaves to me; I'm guessing plum. But all that matters is how pretty this is. I love that light. Bravo!
Very nice and great light!
Oh, this light is just so sweet, would have been a nice spot to sit down and get out of that heat!!
wow - wow - wow! Das Licht zwischen den Blättern ist einmalig schön!
WOW! So beautiful and the most lovely light.... hmmme it could also look like an orange tree. Or atleast a kind of. On the other hand....I am not sure you are able to se that much light through the leaves of an orange tree. They are thick.
Marvellous!
Pretty capture and yep, I felt like I was there :o)
Cosine says they don't look like cherry leaves to him, but they do look like cherry leaves to me. Our local supermarket has a row of cherry trees right along the disabled parking bays and I park my car beneath them all the time. In summer I usually grab a couple off and eat them. Excellent capture Tara, the backlight filtering through makes for a great shot. Bravo!!!!!
Beautiful shot, the backlight is awesome :D Well Done :D
