Description
The day is finally drawing near. As the three space powers are preparing their Moon shots, SSD has scored an interview with the British hero who is to land on Luna!
Thanks to Newill who found me a spaceman.
Rocket is by Geodesic, and the gantry by rj001.
Thanks guys - couldn't do these without your models.
Thanks for looking.
Spaceship Away!!
Iain
(PS might not look it, but everything is in scale -it's the angle that makes the astro look bigger)

Wow, this is a really cool and well done illustration for this issue's cover. Very retro looking.
Excellent 50's style magazine cover
Very good composition. Well done. 5+
Nicely done, suitably dramatic. Of course, no one supspected that the little, insignificant, overlooked Duchy of Grand Fenwick was about to beat all three space powers to the Moon in a rocket powered by wine-based isotopes.....
David - you watch too many British films ^_^
Xcellent presentation! Great render!
How do you keep coming up with such great ideas for these covers? Love them all!
Space Science Digest was always on the cutting edge of things. Another cover done to perfection:)
Another nice composition... well done! Hugs
