Description
Remember a few months ago when I went to Oregon? I took a LOT of pictures! I'll probably be showing you pictures from that trip for years to come!
Before I left for my vacation, Doug told me to take pictures of a lizard for him. When Jill and I were wandering around at Smith Rock, Jill saw this little guy, and I was fortunate enough to get some great shots of him. He climbed up out of his hole, and sunned himself on the rock for a minute or so, and then scampered off. He was a great model - he came out slowly, stopping every few inches to make sure I was getting a good photo op. :)
..........
I made this nice and big, so full view should be better.

Really shows how he blends well with his surroundings.
Excellent pics! His camouflage is marvelous and you have captured it beautifully! I can almost see the heat waves shimmering above the rock!
Cool looking picture....it took me a minute to notice it was 2 pictures.
marvelous image beautifully presented!
Great shot
Lovely shots, they look as if they [the lizards] are quite large.
He doesn't look so little to me :) Nice shots.
Yah, he looks HUGE! GINORMOUS! RUN AWAAYYYYY! Great shot, I hope you still have all your digits and appendages.... :)
Oregon! I miss Oregon, excellent shot, cute little fella!
You took a great couple of skillful clear shots of him, and yet I can see how his texture is so much like the rocks he walks on hiding him from unknown predators. well done Tara!
Nice of him to be so cooperative--you got his best side!!
Excellent shot!!! :)
Awesome!
Wonderful! Superb shots!
What a charming fellow and you captured him so nicely Tara :)))
sehr schöne Fotos von dieser interessanten und "getarnten" Echse!
Yes, from above he must blend in beautifully with the surroundings making it difficult for airborne predators to spot him. Two excellent captures Tara and wonderful presentation. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
dynamic duo
that is very good shot of him
nice shot.. he is posing for this one...
Fine shots of the Komodo Dragon wannabe, Tara, but when are you getting back on the post-a-comment circuit again?

What a cutie :o)
Fine image. I like lizards very much, but I do not know the American ones. Hope it is not one of those with venomous bite.
nice shot...
Nice catch, they are so speedy, it's very hard for me to get a picture of one. Nicely done!
