Description
I thought about naming this "Timeless" because my wife pointed out that it could be modern, medieval, fantasy, etc. Done a number of renders or attempted renders. Had a wonderful apocalyptic render going, but it wouldn't render any higher than Preview Mode. Very irritating! The rest just got about 90% where I wanted to go, then just sort of fizzled out and weren't worth posting. I suppose we all have weeks like that. Will add that although the dog figure is a Poser 4 dog, that Trav's texture combined with it is still one of my favorite cg dogs to use; even though I have the Mil Dog.

A nice, timeless, render, my friend. I like the atmosphere, lighting and early morning ambience. Sometimes VUE does seem to expect a lot out of our PCs. My old Windows XP machine had a slower graphis card than my newish VIsta model, but it renders faster. At least you didn't fry your graphics chip. The dog looks a lot like an old police dog I knew that was fine in towns, but out in the countryside was always distracted by rabbits etc... ;o) It also liked Callard & Bowsers Liquorice Toffees, and could smell them from outside the sweet shop. I tend to keep my initial terrains and skies very simple, using TERRAMAT, allowing me to make almost Terragen-like images in VUE. Then I can work on the foreground etc. I have not imported any figures yet, despite having lots of DAZ|studio and POSER models. Recovering from major surgery, I hope to have some creative time on my hands, God willing. Regards, John.

My first idea was "Scotland, Highlands" stuff like that. But I agree with your wife, Jeremy: It could be everything - medevial, fantasy, or a criminal novel scene.... It works for itself, and this is the great point here. Wonderful work! 5+

I love the sky; it's very different looking from the standard. It has so many colours in it. A very serene and peaceful scene. I can feel the misty coolness of it, just before the sun heats things up.
