Description
With a week of over 100 degree temps, it's easy to see that other creatures besides humans are open mouthed and 'panting' in this heat wave. These were taken on the two afternoons of 106 degree temps.
Shown clockwise are mother and juvenile mockingbird, chickadee, juvenile robin, juvenile mockingbird, adult robin, collared dove, and juvenile cardinal.
It's been a busy week, sorry I haven't been around. Will try to catch up a bit later. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

I'm slack-jawed at the mockingbird shots. They are around here and I adore waking up to their songs. But they are so skiddish I can't get close enough to even capture a blur from them as they fly off! I love all of these shots but those are really special!
Excellent captures and collage. Each one is a beauty. Bunny

Absolutely wonderful shots, every one of them. Yes I have seen it even here in Denmark lately.
This is a beautiful collage. I hope this helps remind people to put water out for the birds when it is so nasty hot. Great work!
