Description
Took my daughter into town to go to the Post Office, it's easier for me to park. There was a spot right outside the door almost. I noticed these two telephone boxes/booths had been painted recently, and they looked bright and cheery in the mid day sun. I don't know the young lady in the shot she just walked into view as I pressed the shutter. Taken through the open window of my car(note right hand drive).

Dr Who? LOL what great bright red boxes to get shots of. Our phone boxes here in OZ are really plain and boring....

I haven't seen a phone booth in a few years now. There are some phone coves left in buildings but there is no phone equipment left inside...just empty coves. A very good "English" scene.
Ah.. I would love one in my garden! We still have one of these in our village.. bit the grass seems to grow higher and higher round it every year. Wonderful image Jeff, the lighting is lovely! 5+
Phone booths, as we call them here in the states, used to be so common. Now, as PJ said, they're just ugly boxes hanging on walls, IF you can find one!! These are beautiful!!

Beutiful capture Jeff! I thought they had a different shape and color now. These boxes look like the old ones as far as I can remember.
We need to take these pics before it's all just a memory and our grandchildren think we only dreamed it!

Recognised it as Rochdale Post Office straight away. They are becoming a rare sight in fact I actually noticed a young lady using one the other day and thought it very unusual for someone not to have a mobile phone with them ! I love these, they took the red ones away by their thousands to replace them years back with the modern booths but I think they are just as rare these days. Great light to the shot Jeff. not a critisism as such but is the box on the right bigger or is it an optical illusion because you can see more of the side to that one? just looks bigger to me lol. Oh and nice model !
Two old telephone box's and a pretty young girl wondering what they are? Have they got "Blu Tooth" And WiFi" ? she is thinking. Or are they something do to with Dr Who? 8~)

You don't see many of those around now! Mobile (cell) phones are killing them off quickly. It's a great capture - very colourful.
guess you was looking for Dr. Who love that show. anyway I like thisd with the lady in it too. she shows how big they are and wonderful

in the US telephone boxes are gone at least in Texas.too much vandalism I suppose and quite expensive.it is hard to find a pay phone without going to 7-11.mail boxes are gone pretty much also. excellent capture Jeff

Excellent candid shot here Jeff; I love them red phone booths. So beautiful! Wish there were more of these around! Right hand driving .. oh my goodness, I wouldn't survive a day over there driving on the wrong side of the road LOL

Love this love red boxes, well captured, Jeff ! I have been in London a few yeares ago and threre are just a few left,sorry for that, great capture and composition, bravo !
for some one like me who lets her battery die just when she needs it, I say keep the phone booths... if nothing else for the nostalgic feel they give. Great shot!
