Description

Sometimes life is SO good, I just about think I've got the pot of gold! The best thing after a loud, crashing storm is to have your kids drag you out to see the rainbow. The pot of gold IS available but only for a photo or two if you're quick. *grin* This rainbow was a double though the second ring is very light. I took the liberty of enhancing the sky (photoshop) to bring out the layers in the clouds and the colors of the rainbows. This is a view of my place facing East. You can see the fence that divides the field from the yard, an old barn and garden is to the left and some odd tractor parts and a picnic table scattered around. The orange brush to the right is a future bonfire. (It is huge and similar to a blast furnace when it goes...) Wish you could all come out for THAT weenie roast! a very peaceful capture, filled with a 'daily' sense, like this view is what nature is like everyday, but graced with the magic of the rainbow. The sky around it seems to move in harmony with it, like it were bowing to it, paying homage. And the gentle scatter of objects around your landscape is delightful and restful—the brush being a brilliant little burst in an otherwise gentle land. Your fence glows like it grabbed the sunlight for itself, and you caught a nice break in the clouds too! Lovely, complex and very peaceful; and like many of your shots, makes me want to be there. (I know midwestern storms, and their aftermaths have a taste of heaven: You sure caught that here. Pure midwest!)

hey my kids could drag me out for a rainbow like this anytime they would get big hugs and kisses for it too!!!! what a beautiful farm you have there and wow that double rainbow is soooo glorious the pot of gold is your home and family :O) at the end of it there!!!!
