Yep, I'm still around. Been a busy summer. I've been making images, just none I'm satisfied with, lol. But I think that may be a "me" problem. So I decided to go ahead and post some work I've been labeling as WIP. But really I dont think they will "progress" any further, so it's delete or post, sorry I decided to post :}
This image took over 30 hours to render, and I did two UberEnviroment layers, so that's over 60 hours, trust me this one is not going to be reworked. lol I was going for a mixture of mood,fantasy and realism. Any suggestions for future renders are muchly appreciated.

Great scene and lightning, very well posed! If you have hairprops in your scene, rather go for(if you own it!) pwSurface, apply it all surfaces, enable AO, you may even plug a HDRI.tiff into the "Indirect Lightning" channel but DO NOT use AO on the hair! The hair is normally what makes render times go up like this.

I just found your render it's wonderful, i think matbe your to hard on your self its lovely. and i wouldn't change a thing,i would love to see what you've deleted i bet they were really good. jimmy is sitting up now but he can't remember stuff yet he thinks he's only beem in the hospitol for a couple of days. thank you for your comments on him u have no idea how much it helped me .thank you Shadow.++++++

Great image, and wonderful textures! I don't know anything about UberEnvironment, but for my complex lighting systems(especially with AO and SSS) I render each light in a separate pass. It cuts my render times in half. Well done!!!
