Description

There you have it folks, the meaning behind the Thumbnail I used for the "Modern Living" project. For a start, both projects are intended to be a reflection on our specialized roles in today's society. That it seems like our existence is more and more an "out-of-this-world" experience. I can only hope that with "Hyper Reality" what apprears to be a StarGate is merely a symbolic representation of a common fictitious idea of our modern culture - it just so happens to be well suited for both projects. You could say that I was fascinated and somewhat influenced by the Bigger-Than-Life attribute of a modern American exposed in a book called "America" by the author, Jean Baudrillard.
