Description
These two Vietnamese women are wearing the traditional Ao Dai, a very light and beautiful garment.
This picture was taken in July 1967 on DaNang AB as a slide. A print was made in 1969 ($1.05 per print) and this print was scanned in 2004.

These were the garments worn by middle and upper class women. The ao dai not only looked elegant, they looked very sexy. Peasants wore black (see my 2nd upload ever posted Sept 2007)

I always was amazed at how they keep the white so white and stainless, and how they could spend so much time walking around in those pointy toed, high heeled shoes. Great shot.
