Description
Does anyone know the name or variety of this strange rose. I found it in the Garden Cantre, unlabelled unfortunately, and I saw that all over this little rose bush, each bloom had one or two buds growing out of the centre of the flower.
An anomaly? A real species?
It sure fascinated me anyway, and I will be pleased to hear from you. Any guesses?
I FOUND IT! Sunday, June 8th.
This is a disease resistant landscape rose, called Rosa Joyful Jubilee. (I have the tag to prove it!) I also photographed the back of the tag, but it's awfully blurry.........At least we have a name to google now! lol

Purty as all get out, but, wow, those center shoots really throw me. As a floral neophyte, I must admit that not only do I not know the species of this lovely bloom, I've never even see one like this before in all my many years on this mortal coil. Excellent macro, though.
Well This is a new one for me I first thought it was a zinnia:) grin Maybe it is a mutant rose either way its pretty Love the color Hugs Susan~
Well spotted it surely is different and you caught it well.
If it were anybody but you, I'd say it was a Photoshop rose! LOL! However, I know you didn't do that yourself. I've never seen anything like it! Maybe Andrea will know, or PJ. Great capture!
Thanks, Tara! I sure appreciate your honesty, and respect for my humble talents! LOL All I did here was to crop and resize, but I was careful to leave the buds present, as they also show their extra central 'babies' in the early stages! I will return to the Garden Centre tomorrow perhaps, and try to find a name for this one.
This is sure an interesting rose. I have to agree with the others, I've never seen anything like this, or even heard that it exists. I keep checking back to see if someone has identified it yet. I guess I'll have to keep checking back to learn what it is. Hopefully, eventually, someone will know. I'm sure glad you took a picture of it for us.
WOW!! This is so cool! I love this Great find & Great pic!! Tina :)
