Description
Zebras or Pajama Donkeys as they are known here, are so easy to photograph! I really find them very photogenic and great posers! This fellow was capture in the Kruger National Park in South Africa in the late afternoon golden light. There was a whole herd of them grazing lazily and this one was the only guy bothering to lift his head!!
Thank you for visiting my gallery and for any comments you wish to leave.

Love this pic....funny
I just love these animals they have such beautiful markings. wonderful capture that shows of the markings on the face.
excellent capture Carin, zebras were always one of my favorite animals, i always wanted a truck painted in that pattern much like they did in Daktari the tv show (1966-69).
Beautiful image with amazing light... these are amazing animals!
I find the black on the back of the ear to be very interesting! They do seem docile. Some documentary though said they are not as good natured as you would think. But then, photographing is different from hugging, huh? :-) Fabulous capture that does show the peaceful nature of this beast...at least from a distance.
wonderful image
I envy you for this amazing sight of these extraordinary animals captured in a wonderful lighting. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice color renditions! Thank you.
Superb shot!
What a lovely capture Carin, he's just giving you a glance, well taken!
A gorgeous image with wonderful light, really great!!
Fantastic animals capture.
They say the markings on a zebra are akin to our own fingerprints, never two the same, I haven't checked them myself mind. I say if they haven't changed their pyjama's in years they're a bit mucky, yet they always look clean. Lol. Superb capture Carin, and Ronnie is right you know a watched kettle never boils, the more you yearn the slower it goes. He'll be with you before you know it. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
Striking shot. Excellent
I have to agree with you Carin and the results here prove that
If we come for a visit you will have to take me to the Pajama Donkeys, they are such beautiful critters
Carin you did it again..Outstanding image..
Gorgeous capture Carin! I love that title, we always tease the kids here that they are wearing pajamas but I never knew the title really existed, fun! Strawberries, don't forget strawberries:-) and cream or chocolate (or champagne!)
Lovely creatures & proof again that the Good Lord has an awesome sense of humor... black stripes on a white horse, hehehe. Well done, Carin!
I had heard that term somewhere before and had forgotten about it.Thanks for refreshing my memory with this fine shot.
