Description
It is now almost certain that my expat contract in the Netherlands will shortly come to an end...
After all, I enjoyed very much living (4 days a week) in the beautiful city of Haarlem...
I will miss the mood of this friendly historical city !

Beautiful mood in this B&W capture, dear Michel. It would be nice to be here, right now.. Hugs. DiDi. xx
Such a lovely shot here.
Your image is very well done. 5+.
This is an absolutely classic composition, I will probably show my adult art students on Saturday. You are a splendid teaching resource, Michel! Everything about this is just right, although I find myself repeatedly drawn to the top of the lamp. I expect you cropped it there to hold the compo in frame! A super black and white, master class work!
excellent black and white tone
Excellent photo! :)
Très belle atmosphère qui se dégage de ce superbe cliché. Beau travail.
super b&w capture
Great notalgic creation in b+w, but I've to say, this canal is'nt the Spaarne, its the "nieuwe gracht" (New Canal) I can imagine your affection for this wonderful Dutch city also called Spaarnestad (Spaarnecity) your tittle fits well in a different way, I've earned here my bread for 15 years. Wonderful photograph! RS

A terrific B&W composition! Most certainly an incredible mood and atmosphere... eerie, and yet very familiar. A wonderful perspective you have captured, with extensive detail, and beautiful architecture!
