Description
After surviving another long Minnesota winter the best thing to do is indulge in a complete (outdoor) sensory overload! My kids took full advantage of the sunshine, spring colors and heady fragrances of the season. This is our backyard field with wide open spaces and no power lines.

But that tree looks like a kite eating tree to me so I hope the kids were careful not to lose their kite to it's raging appetite. A happy, mood shot! And I am so thankful for your previous 399 posts. They have been delightful!

sometimes you get such a bold & simple image, it's hard to believe you even used a camera; and you put all your heart and mind into the same shot, always feeling and always thinking, and it comes together in the simplest most perfect moment. Several planes which move from yellows to greens to browns to blue; the primary colors in your children and the landscape; the yellows picked up by the kite...all Jodie choices with no labor visible, just choice. Whatever you go through for pictures like these, you come out with easeful shots, and capture two of your dear children in the simplest play. Much joy & love on your 400th & may there be many more to come...

Out of hibernation and free to cavort! I bet the kids really loved it. Hate to rub it in, but we've had weather like the above for months already. I know parts of Minnesota were hit by some really bad hail storm weather over the past few days. Ennyweigh, terrific POV, DOF, clarity, colors and textures in this fine long shot, Jodie!
