Description
The Hakalau Bay area was eventually donated to the County, making it accessible to visitors, surfers and fisherman. Here is what's left of the sugar mill walls decorated with vegetation and graffiti. Aloha and thank you for viewing

What's left ? Nothing much I know that feeling , At least it's open , Nice shot Sharky!
Really nice shot here.
does it still smell like sugar? shame about the graffiti, always ruins things
bedrückend und ansprechend zu gleich! Toll!
No smell of the sugar. But when rough seas comes, a reminder of the sugarcane comes washing up on shore. Aloha
Fantastic capture.
wonderful shot
Grafitti sure has evolved I remember when it was just F-you or Missy loves James. Nice shot.
Hopefully they have found better artistic ways to express their work that is more positive for society, some of their artwork is so good, thanks for sharing:):):)
A sad feeling in these ruins, Errol. I hope they restore the area for people to enjoy. A splendid capture. Hugs. & Aloha. Di. xx
A very interesting shot Errol - I like how the plantlife is reclaiming the ruined wall! Excellent my friend!!
It's good to know nature can reclaim part of man's legacy - which is not alwasy kind to the environment!
great shot.
I like the foilage and urban mix. Quite an interesting contrast. great shot.
Nice shot!
Interesting place and pic!
Great photo and atmosphere ! Ana
Ah, now I know where this is; I recognize the bridge. I love this place; it's such a lush and beautiful little valley. Thanks for the reminder.
With little effort, the land might reclaim this... Very nice spot but sad what is done to the ruins.
excellent capture !!
nice
Not much left at all, eh?
The graffiti in the jungle look is just a touch odd. Great juxtaposition. :)
Wonderful capture of the remains, Sig...
Everywhere in the world the same issue, graffiti!!! Just returned from Berlin, on the 1 km wall left over, a lot of graffiti too ......... partly in the same style as captured by you!!! Excellent interesting work!! Have a very nice evening, Henk
Very interesting capture, like a contrast between a graffiti and a vegetation.
graffiti should be done on they own bujildings and not others . cool shot here
As isolated as this place is, it's amazing kids would carry spray paint that far to paint this wall...must be really nothing to do in this town. Great spot to sit and watch the waves roll in....thanks for taking me back again. Aloha~
This is the best of your series in my opinion. Ruins and your sort of tropical plants creat a very special atmosphere. and the graffiti is a good part of it.
graffiti is becoming quite an artform now .everywhere you look there is someones name :o)..excellent shot errol mick
