Left in ruins, Hakalau Sugar Mill was destroyed by the April 1, 1946 Tsunami (Tidal Wave). "Click here for old picture" The sugar mill had rebuilt again but eventually closed down in 1960 and moved to another area called Pepeekeo. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Lots of detail in this very interesting capture of the ruins of Sugar Mill. I thought at first you had first hand photos of the devastation in Burma from the cyclone and in China from that 7.9 earthquake.
