Description
I was certainly as close as I could be to this flower when I took the picture! See the petal at the bottom of the image? I believe it's touching the lens.
I'm starting to really dig backlighting! I may learn slowly, but I'm learning from you guys, nonetheless! :)
This was taken last summer in Ann's garden.

Fantastic capture, you are doing great with backlighting IMO, Hope you wiped the lense after, can't have pollen grains showing on your next capture :)
Outstanding artwork.
Very pretty!!! I love the backlighting, Great work!
Beautiful light effects in this crystal-clear image Mike
Excellent shot
Wonderful set up and shot
Yes, the backlighting makes this superb! Lovely colors, and very nice macro. :o)
Ooooooohhh! Translucent, gorgeous, pollen details, sumptuous colour! Love it!
Wow, this IS as close as it can be, and you're right about the backlighting; it's particularly wonderful here. Yet another thing on my list of things to learn!!
Beau jeu de lumières.
Backlighting is the creative way to shoot a flower. This is marvelous and a stunning macro.
this is very pretty, I am goina go home after work today and plant my sweet pea seeds my dad sends me seeds from his every year... by summer they have taken over the side of my yard!!
You can't get any closer than that unless you climb inside Tara, excellent macro. I especially like the green leaf lit from behind like that showing the veining in relief, the center of the flower showing fine detail even down to the pollen. Yes give the lens a good clean after touching it with the flower petal. I always have a lens brush and cloth with me where ever I go. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
Great backlighting Tara and wooooow! that is close, I must try the backlighting myself! You are learning from them and I'm learning from you lol.
WOW, Tara May this is really awesome thanks for the smile sweet sunshine to you warm hugs and love, Linda Kaye
Those colours contrast beautifully Tara, and I love that natural backlighting! Excellent capture with superb details!!

perfect image, the way the sunlight almost glows through the top of the flower-beautiful!
Utterly stellar color, textures, clarity and backlighting in this remarkable macro, my dear friend! Now, if I had gotten this close to the image, I bet my shot would have come out blurred, at least in the extreme foreground.
excellent! nothing quite like the light that filters through flowers
Wonderful macro, beautiful color! I like the water on the stem too!
