Description
This is a piece of driftwood, up close and personal. I did nothing to enhance this composition before I took the shot, I only clicked the shutter. The little extra details on the right-hand side are courtesy of wind and waves.

so much going on here! hard to tell where the wood ends and the rest of the universe begins. beauty of a shot

Great shot ... I'm sure I can 'see' a bird of prey in there, lurking ... Mike
Oh, this is great and I swear I see a very little person there in that little spot on the right~~but could just be the lack of coffee!!
This is so beautiful! I love textures like this that Mother Nature has created.
OHHH I love this kind of shots, Tara and this is so darn excellent. I almost posted something similar, but not that gorgeous, the other day.

there is
nt much in the way of driftwood on our coast so im glad you posted this so i could see it up close .love the texture and the way the sea has ravaged its mark on it .excellent work tara :o) mickOld, Drift wood with all the texture is always a pleasure for the eye, this is captured very, very well!!! Excellent, Have a very nice evening Henk
Wood is so personal, or at least it seems it is. this is a beautiful way of seeing it and the treasure tucked away in its pockets is a real bonus.
Remarkable textures caught here. Very fine work!
I se a face near to the stuff on the right, it's half black half grey, but I don't see the little person that Marilyn does. Is this the same one we had a preview of on TPBM in the forum? Excellent macro Tara, I have a love for wood in it's natural state, I do not have any wood painted in my house, I have it all varnished, only rarely is it stained. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
A stellar capture of what could be easily mistaken for a topographical map. Just dig all those loops and whorls in this convoluted display of driftwood! And, I do see the tortured face of a distraught man, placed in the wood long ago by a witch's evil spell. Who or what will free him from this terrible prison?
Superb photo.
Who knows where this has been. Very nice :)
This is a candy for my eyes...love wood texture and your shots has a wonderful pattern and colors.
A wonderful find and capture.
wonderful shot of the textures
