Description
In January 9th, 2007, I dedicated "Flying Chocolate above the Clouds" to 1402dandoy, a very well skilled Carrara user, who is a great chocolate lover too. And I know that many of you were interested by the adventures of my little chocolate hero. But today I am glad to say my admiration I have for the work of mark.spooner. Mark does marvelous pictures with extremely simple things, e.g. he has created a lot of wonderful planets with simple lamps, but as a whole he is an enchanting photographer of still objects and architectures. Hmm… In my last post I said that, best things coming to an end, we would leave Senegal (if you are sad of that, do visit my wife’s mtc’s gallery, she is continuing with very nice photos)… However… This post keeps a small part of Senegal too! In fact, the BG is a photo of some debris of cane twigs, that were burnt near the sugar plant of Richard Toll, Northern Senegal. Just as I saw that scene I thought: "Oh this is a wonderful BG for my little aviator!" For sure I added a lot of transformations, with a lot of Adjustment Layers, so that now it looks like some hostile alien world… I asked myself if I would add my cute little alien pilot Szanden in that scene, but Flying Chocolate won the dangerous prize of flying above this crazy volcanic area! Thanks to people who commented this one that I consider as the best of the series:

excellent scene and pov, what a great idea for a series. :-)
Funny idea and the volcano background looks great!!! Take care or there is soon hot chocolate ;-)
Lovely scene and nice composition
Beautiful scene and the little hero is still gorgeous.... I just hope he wont melt now. ;)
Oh, I hope the coloclate does not melt from the heat, our little pilot might be in big trouble. Another very fun iamge!!!!
Great looking!
LOL, love the background and the hero and plane are simply adorable!
Ah yes !! La suite des aventures de l'avion en chocolat ! J'adore !
En toute simplicité : une merveille!
As the icing melts off of the little aviator's wings, we ponder his peril and monitor his status. The news flash of our small pilot plowed into a gingerbread house with Hansel and Gretel fleeing the carnage is not what we hoped for! So fly little Chocolate Sky Plane... FLY!!!!
Very nice! (I will get a chocolate now!)
Very nice and fun work, thank you very much for the dedication!
Je pense au petit prince et à son auteur en dépit du fait que ce n'est aucunement ton intention. Très jolie dédicace pour mark.spooner dont les dons artistiques sont impressionnants.
I recall your plane before in front of a building. nice work
real cool looking work
Je vois que tu assures carrément en 3D, Edouard, avec cette magnifique image teintée d'humour chocolaté! Chapeau bas!
Lovely work & nice BG!
=) Great idea! I love funny renders, such as this.
