Description

I've been playing in Photoshop again. * gasp! * Believe it or not, I got that sort of painterly look on the rose with just the lighting effects. An Omni light, with the texture channel set to "Red," slider toward the "mountainous" end a bit. Every once in a while, playing, I see something and say, "Huh! Look at that!" :) .......... Lose yourself In the artistic process, Time passing unnoticed, Art forming under your hands. Lose yourself In the folds of the flower, Nooks and crannys Waiting to be explored. Lose yourself In love, In the romance Of the red, red rose.

Wow, your narrative was great, and then I read your poem, and am speechless. I am lost in all of it, the image and your words.

I'm just lost... Last I knew I was searching for a laden English Sparrow. I love the textured effect on this one; of course it doesn't hurt to have started with such a beautiful photo.

wow, the texture gives it a bit of "fabric" feel, as if you wove the picture out of a rough silk; but it also feels like Georgia O'Keeffe (which, for flowers, is a great compliment---O'Keeffe proved for once and for all that flowers weren't just 'precious', but had the cosmos in them). At times, it even appears brittle, like it were made out of crepe or something like it. A flower of many personalities. Lovely & mysterious.
