Description
This is a closeup of yesterday's Amun Leopard. It's not a zoom or a crop, and neither was yesterday's shot. I was actually no more than 3 meters from this guy. This lens won't focus closer than 1.8 meters, and the distance between us wasn't much more than that. Anyway, I just thought he had such a great expression that I wanted to share it.
Like the picture of the Female Hooded Merganser, this was taken through glass, so it's not as sharp as I would like it. Not that I would have gotten this close to this guy without something sturdy between us LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

gorgeous Leopard shot!!
Spectacular animal, and a great capture. Thanks for sharing.
At least you were able to get a shot, Dennis. The glass around the meerkat enclosure I went to was so dirty, there was no way I could get a shot. Don't zoos own a bottle of Windex?! Nicely done and a lovely portrait, with beautiful DOF.
A wonderful capture and turned out so well being as you were behind glass, thank you for sharing! hugs Jane xx

Excellent capture of this beautiful animal. Looks fantastic!
Great and wonderful cat, excelente portrait !
Another great shot of this beautiful cat. With the look in those eyes it makes me wonder what he was thinking.
That's fantastic! You can literally count the whiskers. I can sort of see a haze that would indicate there's glass between you, but it doesn't detract at all. Wonderful capture!
Bravo Dennis great job despite the technical problems
Pretty cool!
Okie ..he's going home with ME! Be ready to part him from this gallery L Terrific shot ..love it!
Wonderful!! There were places at the San Diego Zoo that we were allowed to get very close to the tigers. It is amazing they handle the crowds so well, sometimes. Excellent capture.
Such a beautiful animal. It's a very good shot especially if there was glass between you.
