"Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning" ~ Proverb
The sun burning through the misty skies the other morning while driving to work. It was hard to time this while at the wheel, this was the best of the bunch, with the water vapor in the air acting as a natural ND filter. Tinted red in Photoshop. Beautiful capture and use of lighting:):):):):)
gorgeous capture and mood Kort!
Awesome yet eerie look to it. Great capture, especially while you had to drive and time things. Beautiful. Aloha
Nice postwork~ I'm thinking the old saying was referring to hurricanes... (On Pern, it was all about the red star...) In Oklahoma we looked for orangey skies low on the horizon (any time of daylight) that gradually rose higher and higher. Signified a dust storm approaching and a need to get indoors!
these is a wonderful time to shot in as we rarely see this in the sky. Yes we see them but more rare we take note and photo them
magnificent capture. wonderful artwork
Oh yes, a scene right out of a bloody werewolf, vampire, monster, et al, movie! I can hear the howling now. Really love the spooky effect in this capture, taken under difficult conditions.
So very lovely! Karen :)
I like the simple composition and the postwork coloring....very artistic Kort. Oh, and thanks for the tip. I think it worked for me too.
That looks awesome! Nice work. I like this a lot.
Very cool shot!!! Absolutely awesome - all the mystery and gloom of it!!! Great!!!
Your treatment in photoshop really put a good spin on this. Pink trees and now red tinted night sky. Gives a great mood.
Great drive-by capture and the postwork tweak really makes this one outstanding ! ~Cheers~
lovely mood.
Beautiful capture and photo, excellent well done.
Wow! Bravo!!! What a perfect combination of subtle tone AND high contrast!! If this were a dessert, it would be a dark chocolate raspberry mousse!
very atmospheric my friend
Well, I like everything about it Kort, from the compo to the tint...now keep those hands on the wheel :o)
A fantastic nature photography with a real gorgeous looking light! Stunning really!!!
great effect. "Red sky at night Brixtons alight" is another variant.
A lovely atmospheric capture.
Great shot.
That sky would scare me if I happened upon it. Is there a storm coming? Why is it so red. Yep, I'd be in the basement with a six pack and some chips :)
