Description
This image was done for ImagineFX to celebrate Frazetta’s 80th birtday.
I decided to paint a classical fantasy art piece like the ones we are used to see from Mr. Frazetta, I just did it in my style as I just didn’t dare to copy the masters style. A strong hero with some massive axes in his hands, in the background I used some elements Frazetta already used in his art like the birds. I painted a Portrait of Mr. Frazetta in the background to honor him and to show that he is the one who made this picture possible cause without him I probably wouldn’t paint anything today.
I just hope I got a little likeness with the Portrait of Frazetta in the background as I just had a very small picture (taken in the 80’s right after his “come back”) from his website as reference.
Hope you like the picture was a pleasure to paint it.
Happy birthday Frank!

This is spectacular, Uwe. A great tribute!
I am always so exited when i see a e-bot from you. :) Because i know there is again a masterpiece to see. Outstanding work again. The details and colors. Wonderful.
Excellent!!!!!! Frank frazetta is one of my all time favorite artists. I have tons of his artwork I've found on line and have his collectible card collection from the '90's.
I'll be looking forward to this issue of IFX... Your artwork rocks....
Masterful Artwork, and I'm sure Frazetta would be envious of your talent! I had know idea he was 80! OMG I'm getting old!
Very cool, good work
First off, I like the piece, and if I were in the book business, I'd look for a book to put it on.... But... I can see one way to make it better..... Instead of a pair of axes, a brush and a palette, and Frank's head on the main figure, with one of his classic works on a canvas on the background..... Hey, I couldn't do it, so it's only an idea, not a criticism, or even critique. Just fits my image of the man's approach to painting..... pgf (Although, I was told once that 'Frank' comes, ultimately, from the nam of a throwing ax....)
Absolutely splendid.....!!!!
Fantastic... his portrait it terrific... Awesome image

I LOVE IT!
Wonderful way to honor him. I won't even blather on about how excellent things are.. with your work that goes without saying.
Trying to figure out who did a piece of art I like and don't remember where I seen it - lol... it's like digging through a haystack looking for that needle... but sometimes while digging through the haystack, you find Little treasures like this one - lol... I know I just faved you as an artist a week or so ago, but I really got to find some time to come see your gallery - Lots of Cool stuff! YOU HAVE BEEN FAVORITIZED!!!
Fantastic fantasy character! Excellent work! (:
I'm speechless with wonder! This is exquisite art. Your drawing of Frazetta is superb, it is beyond that! Your work translates that quality, something about the eyes. You captured a sense of charisma about him. I like your style of art too. You know that you wouldn't need to copy his, or anyone's style of art.
its you ...what a question lol
