This is just a shot of he edge of the river, I didn't see this "face" till I uploaded the foto. He looks like he wants to say something, but I didn't stick around to find out!!
Besides, this strange looking creature (which of course, is just a rock sticking up out of the silt), I love the colors that popped out.

I have it on good athority it's a river sprite. He's pretending to be a rock. Amazing coloured rocks make the picture pop!
It looks like some sort of reptile to me Marilyn or as alhak says a turtle. Great shot, not just the face but the ripples in the silt and the colours of the stones(I would have been picking them up). Excellent capture full of texture. Bravo!!!!!

This is a fantastic shot, definitely one of my favorites! I love the sense of color here, and the ripples on the water...such beautiful clarity and yeah, the face is something you don't always notice immediately, but once you find it, you can't imagine how you missed it! This is a gorgeous work, utterly beguiling in so many ways!
