Description
Full size is definitely best.
Another from Saturday's snow trip. You can just see Multnomah Falls in the background of this one. But this is more about the texture than the content. As soon as I switched this to B&W I knew it was the right thing to do.
I have several other posting of this waterfall, Oregon's most-visited tourist attraction. One of my favorites is another winter shot from December 2005.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

It does have a nice effect to this in B&W. Excellent job and capture. Aloha
WOW! the b/w really pulls in the heavy, cold closed in mood of this winter shot. Fabulous!
awesome, what a mood, perfect one for a winter postcard or calendar, well done
oh so wonderful, and I think your choice to use B/W is perfect here !
Excellent winter scene.Beautiful job.
Dennis that is just so beautiful, definately worth the zoom factor!
This turned out beautifully, Dennis. I especially like the diagonal snow that nearly obscures the view of the falls. Nicely done and works very nicely in b/w.
Gorgeous shot appears to be taken from the area near the lodge?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent. Don't know why but I'm reminded of Currier and Ives. :)
Beautiful effect Dennis. Love the numerous variations in grey shading. Is this the snow that comes in from the upper right of the picture? Does a 1/13sec shutter speed will show this? This picture is perfect. It will make anyone that isn't an outdoors person-or a photographer bent on getting a good shot-want to stay inside, Sig...
I clicked on full view and had to go get a sweater! This is beautiful in b&w. When I saw the thumb, my first thought was, "he's posted an image of Multnomah in landscape???" But it works really well. The composition is great. Nicely done!
Seeing this made me colder than I already was on this chilly morning. The wind chill must have been miserable since it was blowing hard enough to make the snow come down sidways rather than falling straight down. Now I'm going to go have a cup of hot cocoa.
this series is breathtaking!
WOW! This is a fantastic winter shot. I like the B/W.
Looks fantastic, excellent shot. The tones create a wonderful mood. Superb!
Another gorgeous winter scene Dennis and that snow really seems to be coming down heavily. Amazing details and textures and your choice of B&W was definitely spot on. Hugs Chrissy xx
Beautiful Work!!!
I agree with CavalierLady about which part I like the best.
Beautiful! You did a wonderful job on this scene, and it being black and white sure shows the contrast! Burrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....snow and ice!! Get out your longjohns and go take more pictures L TY so much for sharing!
Beautiful work...
This gorgeous scene looks great in black & white. Well done!
It's snowing harder now! Love the details that pop with the B/W and the light touch of fresh snow :)
It's coming down pretty hard too, excellent image!!!!!
Just wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
