Description

One of my customers ask me to illustrate a book which the story is set in a hollow world. The task is new for me and not so easy. Here is a test render. I know that a huge hollow world can apper "flat" as Earth, but I must give the idea of an hollow world in this artwork as per customer request. Have I achived to interpret a lanscape of an hollow world? Please let me know what you think! :)

Wow! The render looks fantastic! Does it look like a hollow world? Hard to descide, the POV is awsome and gives a hint on that, but depends on how large this world is, when it's as huge as earth or even larger, than it would not make any difference, it would just look plain :)

Nice. If the hollow world is only a few tens or a hundred kilometers around, then it looks about right, but as lordgoron says, if it's the size of the earth, then it would look pretty flat, probably with haze obscuring the "middle ground" and then a rising distant landscape in all directions.

Although this is a great piece, it doesn't say 'Hollow World' to me. I would take a look at some of the RING WORLD pieces that are about here and there. In short, pull the camera back a lot more and let us see more of the landscape, perhaps going on to infinity.....just my £0.02p worth.
