Description

Another Bomaw Character Shanna Eden McPherson ~ Sykes ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Shanna is the baby daughter of the McPherson clan, fifth child, second daughter of Bart & Gert McPherson. Upon returning home from the Vietnam war, Bart became a different man than the one that left Gert before the war. Upon his return, one thing he determined with an absolute iron hand, that no one, would do to his children, his family what he'd seen done while in Vietnam. A bit confused in his thinking, about where he was and the way things were back home - he took his first son, Shawn and turned him into the soldier he'd been forced to become. Their eldest, their son, Shawn Everett McPherson; from the age of twelve, became his father's son in more ways than one. All his father's harsh drilled in training, worked, all the breaking down of a twelve year old boy and building him up into a man with one objective, and that was to protect his siblings, his family, at - all - cost. Willing to do whatever it took to make sure no harm to them ever came. So, it was to no surprise to any of the family, when Shanna came home, running for her life, from her domestically violent husband; who thought, with a wife so beautiful, a man had to beat her now and then to keep her in place, so he felt. That being the case, was it any wonder that he had suddenly, just, disappeared. Gone - never to be seen again. But Shanna knew, because she knew her father, and she especially knew, her older brother - that was after all - why - having enough of going into the hospital for broken bones, bruises, cuts and ultimately, the miscarriages of another child by him due to beatings - that it was time to swallow her pride, stop lying to her family and go to them for protection from John. Who, unfortunately showed up one night, scaring Shanna so bad that before her brothers she broke down sobbing that he would kill her if he got his hands on her. That was all that Shawn needed to see. Now, on poster boards in the Ohio court houses and police stations were pictures of John Sykes, Missing they said. His mother had reported him as that, he hadn't come back home after going after Shanna in Wisconsin to get her back. All searching, led to a dead end. He was no where to be found ... and for Shanna, finally, a new life could begin. To make sure of it, she filed for divorce, it was granted including getting her maiden name back, McPherson.
