Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image. This is one of the many spiders that are referred to as jumping spiders. They don't weave webs to capture their prey but they do use silk lines as a sort of safety line. If they feel threatened, they jump from their perch and drop to the ground on these lines. If all seems safe they then use the line to return to their last perch. They are very curious and bold. They come in a variety of colors and are all great hunters. They are all also rather small. You can see his safety rope glistening in the sunlight, fantastic clarity and detail Lee and as usual a very informative narrative to go with it. That on its own is worth double points, to me anyhow. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
