Jeez what a view. Brilliant place to be at new year. Cracking shot & well worth viewing full size. The Seracs look well dodgy, do you have to cross them to get up to the top I wonder?

@aangus. I don't know. I only took the lift up and down again. It was hard enough just to walk around up there, Sig..

This series of photos have all been so impressive Sig, thanks for sharing them. I have never been on snow capped mountains. I always wonder if I will ever get to places like this!

What a fantastic view! It looks like an avalanche could happen at any time. I'm amazed that you got such a good DOF at f/3.5. Love the blue color of the snow.

These images are really great..this one is very clear and detailed.. I rode a cable car to the top of the Zugspitze several years ago and this brings back memories of what we saw..

Brill. I,ve been up there years ago and have a shot similar to this, but different lighting (Summer Middle afternoon);but its on proper film so I can't share it with you. As a viewing platform you can,t beat it. The Matterhorn can be seen in distant Switzerland. So go on everybody, book a holiday in Chamonix and get up that cable car. And by the way it is hard getting about up there, if there's no wind there's no air either.
