Description
I had a technical criticism of my last entry 'Dawn'. It can be see with the comments for that picture, along with my reply. I wasn't doing a technical illustration of a ship, or a sunrise... I was illustrating an emotion on that one.
Today's entry has another deliberate technical mistake: The fourth funnel on the Titanic was false and used partly as a vent for the galley. Since the designers of the ship had seen fit to balance the overall symmetry of their design with this false funnel, I have seen fit to portray it with smoke coming out, for the same symmetry and a bit of artist license. What do I know, Huh? ... and having said that, what did the designers know... it sank immediately.l
Bryce and Photoshop. I think I bought this model here.

Thank you for visiting my gallery today. I don't recall your avatar before - and the name e brink doesn't ring a bell... but you obviously have been here a while, lots of work to look at. Nice gallery.
Impressive work !
Remarkable Work! 5!
I like the forboding feeling in this. Even if I didn't know any of the history, I'd sense something might be about to happen. You've captured the iciness well.
WOW, love this image! what a wonderful depiction of the Titanic, BRAVO!!!
A wow Piece this i would love to see more of Titanic
I feel that images are created through the artist's vision. He or she conveys an emotion or message of self expression through art. It is also partial to the interpretation of the beholder. When I view a creation, be it a painting, sculpture or drawing there are feelings that are evoked within me. These feelings help me to decide whether or not I like the piece. It also tells me a a story about the artist in a subtle way. I am glad you visited my gallery. If you hadn't I would not have had the opportunity to view incredible beauty. Thanks!
Every image that you do is incredibly beautiful and filled with emotion. I love seeing thru your eyes as I do with every artist or photographer etc. Without feeling an emotion rather than seeing technicalities what would be the point? Seems to me that it would be a rather boring world without the artists emotion flowing into their work..I may not have expressed that right so more simply put, keep doing the beauty you are doing, it feeds the mind, the eyes and the heart! Superb work as always! and many thanks for your support and especially for inspiring me to do better!
FGood work again erland
Wonderful work in Bryce, with this mysterious touch the Titanic has always inspired, beyond everything that has been related about her.Brilliant!
The ship that could not possibly sink, sank. It is a Master piece with the love and caring for each little detail. The Atlantic and they sky look great, and they are both kept simple, so the focus is on the ship. Very fine work Peter and a fine inspiration too. The Titanic is a fantastic story too. Even if it is sad. I know the real story. And the story from the late 90s romantic movie Titanic.
It looks outstanding Peter, I think you had to add smoke to the 4th one as you did.
Great work.I like it.
Like this piece very much and I like the two way discussion. Others are open and your replies are helpful, certainly not defensive in my book. We all can learn from each other. Being a photographer only...not digitally literate in anything else yet, all I have to do is shoot...makes my life easy...if I shoot enough of the right things :-) Thanks, Bill
REALLY BEAUTIFUL :)
there they go steaming into oblivion
I like it
Excellent.
Thankyou for showing. Remarkable image. 5+
nice image of this famous vessel
Excellent work, well done...
This is really fabulous!
So stunning render: fabulous!
Excellent image! Wonderful composition, detail and atmosphere! I like that it is about to leave the picture, as it runs at fast speed to its doom. The primary reasons for that doom are portrayed here in the icy water and the fast speed of the ship. I like the way the ship is ablaze with light, seemingly impervious to the dark cold isolation around it. Superb atmosphere of foreboding and blind arrogance.
A wonderful zoom and ship details my friend. Nice creation - I like it a lot!
