Description
Captured 9/8/05 on a church parking lot, around 7:45 AM about 1.75 miles/2.816 kilometers from my residence.
A followup to the photo I posted on 1/11/08, this time showing the starboard side of this magnificent, storied auto, apparently in need of some repair and a paint job. The bulb socket hanging from the tail light fixture adds much to its allure. And nothing beats that tailpipe for class and elegance.
Oh well, as long as the Bug runs okay, everything is copacetic. This is living the good life!
I'm confident waves of nostalgia will sweep over the viewing audience as they cast their eyes upon this venerable vehicle.
Have one whiz of a work week!

great capture...
that a old VW there. cool shot of it too
Great shot.
I remember my Uncle and Aunt having VW volkswagens back in the day, original of course... Great Capture!
Looks like a dune buggy to me! What better way to ride the sand dunes!!!!!!
The price of the old beetle VW's have really gone up in the past years.. even in this condition..the owner could probably get more that it cost new..
I loved my old bug; I had a 61 bug and a 59 bus; neither one had a gas gauge. When you got low, the car would start to sputter, you'd have to put the clutch in, hit the lever to give you that last gallon of gas, rev it a couple of times and head for the gas station!! Great shots of these bugs, Harry!!!
oooooooooooh how cool is this.....I like this type of cars.....
baja bug super !
Great beetle LOL...
I call this a car with character Harry, great capture - hugs Jane xx
Lol that really needs a bit of TLC My Dad loved his VW Beetle and often said it would float, not sure this one would!
Since I already waxed nostalgic over the last one, I shall only comment here about your prowess as a photographer, my amigo querido! An excellent POV, showing everything we need to know about this vehicle. It has quite a personality! Wonderful capture.
That's a late model. Does not even have the pop out turn signal wnds. The running board braces seem to recall them.
Yup.. it's got 4 wheels and it runs. Way to go!
