Description

The growling in her stomach was getting worse. She sneaked into the office where she smelled water and said, "Lights would be nice." the lights came up as she gasped in surprised. A short robot stood in the middle of the room looking at her. She spotted the fish-tank across the room with big fat fish swimming around in it. She addressed the robot, "Who are you?" The mechanism responded, "Oh-Bee one two eight." Toxic looked around and said,"Lights....off?" The lights went off. She giggled and clapped. She had never been a room with working technology before. She ordered loudly."Lights ON! Windows shade-thingies OPEN! Turn everything ON. Get ME A SAMMICH! ...And some fruit and SOME COOKIES! And...uhm...clean water! Make it in a clean glass! YEAH!" She punched some buttons on the tactical holo-table and played with the desk controls until her stomach grabbed her attention. She picked up a chair and hefted it by the aquarium and started grabbing fish. Colonel Roche was dead tired as he jogged down the hallway and into his office. He had seen more action in the past hour than he had seen in twenty years of service of the flying city's City Defence Force. He was saying,"Yes,ma'am. We can meet in my office. It's closer than other meeting rooms and we can talk freer than in other places...WHAT IN HELL?" Colonel Roche stalked across his office to the colorful intruder who was munching happily on his fish. Teel Roche ground his teeth as he muttered into his comm,"General Chiboo? I need to deal with an intruder. Send a fire-team over to my office. She isn't an alien...but I don't know what she is!" He heard in his ear,"Confirmed. Stay on the line." The odd looking woman smiled at him with a disarming smile while swallowing one of his prize fish and offered him one. She chirped, "Sorry I ate most of the tasty ones, but I did send the lil robot-guy off for cookies and fruit and a sammich and stuff but he has awfully short lil legs and he's carrying books and stuff and can't run for diddly-spit and..." "SHUT-UP! SHUT-UP! Who ARE YOU?" He didn't mean to yell, but the woman was eating HIS fish! She stared at him and went back to eating the fish she held. Her reflective, almost glowing eyes never blinked as she ate with quick, cat-like preciscion. He waited for her to answer and after a long moment filled with crunching, he almost screamed at her,"WHO ARE YOU?" She smiled and blinked at him,"You tol' me to 'shut up!' ...So I shut-up!" She nodded and seemed unduly pleased as she smiled at him. She hopped down off the chair and started looking around. She said, "I like you! NO ONE must have EVER thought to keep lil snack animals at hand to eat when hungry RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR DESK! Wowweeee! Now THAT is clever!" She stood up and looked at him and said with a warm, sunny smile,"Hiya! My name is Toxic! Who are you again? I need to go catch something to pay for the fish I gobbled down. Other than fish, what do YOU like to eat?" Colonel Roche swallowed and said over the mike,"General Chiboo, I think she IS an alien!" Colonel Teel Roche felt a drop of cold sweat roll down his brow as he regarded the strange woman. --TO BE CONTINUED!--

Wow, this scene looks like it was a lot of work to put together. This is very well built, with lots of attention to detail. The effects are very well achieved, really nice. The floor looks realistic. The only thing I dont like very much is this black area in the foreground. I realize it's the back of a sofa, which is only natural to be there, but it seems too much black too much in the foreground, taking a lot of screen space. Anyway, an excellent image.

I agree with Rutra, a wonderfully set-up scene, I particularly like the lighting effect and globe in the BG, a very original idea for the poses and which are very well done, great job it looks excellent.

Good depth in this image and so many interesting details. I wish the farther parts were in the front, particularly toxic - I love her colors.
