I was NOT in my neighborhood when I took this picture! I have no idea who lived in this house. I was visiting my niece, we went for a walk, and of course I took my camera. These lilies were growing in a bed right up against the side of this house, too. Yikes! The yard wasn't very deep at that point - maybe ten or fifteen feet from the sidewalk to the house - but I was definitely IN the yard! And this is a real-live macro, too. No zoom or anything. I was right there!
There are advantages to being a middle-aged woman with grey hair. I'm old enough that people don't find me to be very threatening, and I'm still young enough to run away!
Fortunately, nobody saw me. And if they did see me, they didn't mind. This shot is from last August - I'm sure if I were going to get in trouble for it, they would have come for me by now! :)

Wonderfully colorful macro compo. BTW, I've never heard of a statute of limitations for sneak photos.
This is so beautiful and well worth the risk. A super capture and so clear. I hope you have your running shoes on when you take your camera.
well worth the risk of having to run away tara :o)..a quality image with exceptional detail mick
Wowww, very beautiful flowers and very nice pictures ! Good day :)
Oh Tara, such fantastic centring and colors... I adore!
Very great shot ! Interseting POV ! Bravo
Wonderful!!!
Wow! You are a true role model! I will definitely try to work up my courage and do something like that, if only to impress you.. Nice shot too!
Big, bright and beautiful!
Beautiful capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice detail :-) and the other flowers in view is nice too!
Superlative POV, clarity, colors, lighting and textures in this macro, taken under extremely hazardous conditions. Love those stamens and frilly petals! Now, if there was such a thing as a cloaking device for humans, you would be home free to ply your hobby.
they are outstanding beauties as your capture
A beautifully stolen shot, Tara. Glad you were unscathed by the incident!
I'm not sure which I like most, your story or the lilies...both were great.
