Description
Not intended for a magazine format - but the postworked render looked better presented this way. Re-reading some old Don Lawrence/Martin Lodewijk stories at the moment. Credits: Daz's SP3 and a freebie spider from Content Paradise. Thanks for looking.

Scary! Very well done and I like the magazine presentation
LOVE IT! I'm blown away by the great pose and the way you use her legs to frame the spider's eyes. This looks exactly like one of the covers they actually would have run on Epic Illustrated "back in the day." I really like the subtle cover aging on this one, as opposed to the more dramatic looks you use on the "pulp" covers. For me, the POV and painting effects are what make this one of your most powerful images. I particularly like the way the brushwork looks on the blade (okay, and her booty ain't too bad either :-) If I had to pick two things to change, it would be to remove the chain that is behind her (it looks like it's coming out of her hair, and I think the composition would be stronger without it), or change it to a muted gray. Secondly, I can see a very tiny slice in the final letter of the title: I can tell this is where you filled in the "c" to change it to the letter "O". You know, the more I look at it, the more I'm impressed, especially by the way her legs are in shadows and that helps draw our eyes to the monster. VERY well done!
Just superb!
