Description
...a pathway through a plantation - larches in autumn colours to the left and the evergreen pines to the right.
Inspired by a photo from the Photography Gallery here at Renderosity (but an old one).
Mainly an exercise in tree-design and lighting, the most difficult thing here was to model fairly looking larch-trees (in Onyxtree). But this version looks OK IMHO.
Vue 5 Infinite render, volumetric atmosphere. Touch-ups with Photoshop.
All objects & textures by me.
Thanks for taking a look and for any comments you may leave. They'll be very much appreciated.
Have a nice day

Excellent work, Clouseau has walked many a path like this. Top class.
Splendid lighting, excellent composition!
most wonderful image well done excellent
Great job here, Lars.
These road images are really great! The vegetation meets the road perfectly.
Very beautiful!
Splendid image, bravo.
wonderful realistic scene with excellent details and lightning
v nice colors and trees! the slight fog and the shadows are balanced as well. a character in the foreground just starting on the road would complete the pic:)
i really like the trees, and the light is perfect!
you cheated and used a photo didn't you :) That's a very very nice render
Excellent
a beautiful path through an autumnal forest. the light and the colors are very well chosen and guarantee so for the beautiful autumnal atmosphere. an excellent work again, Lars! :)

XLT work as usual :)
Excellent image!!!!!!
Exceptional realism - excellent work!
Fantastic image. Excellent work!
Congrats... a superb work and models... really great!
First let me just say how much I enjoy your Vue landscapes and how envious of them I am. That being said, the only critique I have is that the pines seem too uniform on the one side. They're all about the same size and shape. Nature abhors a straight line and it seems like you have a straight line at the top of the trees. But, as I said, your skills in Vue far surpass mine. Still, it's an excellent pic.
If this was close I could take a walk through the forest I thought it was a photo it's marvelous!!~~~~~~~~5+++++
It invites for a walk! Wonderful work!
I tried to dive into that scene through my monitor(; Superb work!!!
A fantastic work !! beautiful and tranquil scene with wonderful lighting
very effective, nice light interesting shadows
Gorgeous! And I think this is your best road work yet! :-)
Excellent work, I can see me riding my bike along a quiet road like this. I like the tire tracks also, nice touch. Always that extra in your images that make them stand out from the pack.
Ecellent exercise for sure ! If I dare, I would have say that the undergrows fo pines is free of grass, because very few plants but fern can grow there, and a lot of pines and broken branches lay under thiese trees ! It was just a perfectionnist writing, so humble , confronted at such an excellent scene !
