Description

...yet another autumn road :) This time following the curves of a small river, before crossing it over the bridge. Besides the terrain/road work, this is of course very much a study in lighting/atmosphere. Vue 5 Infinite render, heavy one (some 15 hrs.) because of the volumetric atmosphere and sunlight with Global Illumination. Colour/levels corrections, framing & signature with Photoshop. All plants & trees by me. - In case your interested, a "road scene" by me is available for download in the Vue freestuff section. Thanks for viewing - comments etc. always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

Stunning, inspirational landscape work, love it! The attention to detail is striking, looks like alot of hard work went into this. The overall picture is beautiful, colours & lighting are spot on. I particulary like the reeds in the water, this is brilliant in full view. 15 hours?, this doesn't seem very long considering what's in the picture!

Oh you've done it again! So beautiful, so very realistic, such details.. this is close to perfection. Fantastisk Lars, jeg føler at jeg kunne komme forbi det landskab, på en køretur en dag - så ægte ser det ud!

OK, NOW you've done it! :) THIS one is by far the best yet of your road experiments and takes the premo award :) I love this one and still about the only thing that has consistantly bothered me, (just a critique, as always LOL) is that the road tends to look a bit too small in scale for a dual lane road for the relative size of everything else around it, i.e. the eco system. Try dropping a vehicle in there once while making the scene, just to see how it feels and you'll realize what I am getting at. But other then the road bit, this is soooo outstanding, I can't help but give it a deffinate 5+ stars for this latest attempt. So, keep it up and I'd personally like to know how you go about making your road paths soooo nice and smooth and flowing with your terrains? Any tips for the rest of us? And yes, you very much succeded in getting the atmosphere perfectly perfect! Thanx............md :)

Wonderful render, but I think the road (lanes) look too small in comparison to the surrounding objects. Perhaps if you take away the white lines it would work better.
