Description
Neuschwanstein castle on a hazy, mild September afternoon. Neuschwanstein was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner. The foundation was laid in 1869. It is located in Southwest Bavaria near Fuessen. The picture was taken in September 2006.

A fantastic view from below of this wonderful castle and area I've visited three times so far, along with the other castles ( Linderhof and Herrenchiemsee). You'll see it at this address in my gallery if you want to!!: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1465512 Whatever was said about Ludwig von Bayern, I still think Bavaria owes him a lot today and he has inspired a lot of people through what he lived. Thank you for sharing , Sig!
