Description
Cook's Bay, Moorea, Windward Islands, The Society Islands, French Polynesia. Location scenes were shot here for the 1962 movie 'Mutiny on the Bounty' with Trevor Howard and Marlon Brando. Photo was taken in April 2001 and later scanned.

Have not seen the film but read the novel "Mutiny on the Bounty" by Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall. It is very interesting to see this area on your foto.
