Oh this is in Pineville Louisiana
A poignant shot of the cemetery, Jock, although I can't figure out why you included that light or whatever in the close foreground. I like the late afternoon light and long shadows depicted in this shot.
got to light up your life with the light hahahahahha. I included the light because that the first one I ever saw in a grave yard
Very neat capture, Jocko. Nicely done!
Cool shot, Jocko! I know how it is with time - I don't have much, either.
Oh that my old truck I had at one time. I trying to find the photos as it looked after I painted it
I never saw a cemetary with a light like this. Sure makes an interesting shot.
they had four of these ligths on
that is very beatiful!!!:)
at first I thought the lights were for the grim reaper. very strange for a military cemetery but never the less a fine capture
great shot, reminds me of verdun wwI cemantry went there when I was young during a holiday with my parents crosses so far as the eye could see. Made me think what a power it would be if all those deadman had refused entering the war. They probably thought dying isnt going to happen to me just the other guys are concerned. I later used it as an argument to not do army service, I said if all soldier take theire personal resposabilitieand dont go the generalscan fight theire own war and cassulties are limited decimals instead of millions. have a nice day Jock I dint see my last comment in the list under the pic did you kinda block me ? If so why?
EXCELLENT CAPTURE !!!!!!
It would be interesting to find out what those lights mean, or are used for in cemeteries. I've never seen one of those, either.
Yes the Grave Yard is always a favorite Halloween Hang out, but at my age I try to stay out of them! ;) How nice of "Father in Law" to give a camera as a wedding gift! Hopefully she will aquire your skills as well! Bravo!
If I was Karl, I wouldn't be too happy to have this big spotlight right by my head. Hard to get any proper rest that way. Good shot, Jock! Good lighting and not a typical shot of a millitary graveyard.
Excellent photo, good time to post this!
Well a fine shot! you say "Oh this is in Pineville Louisiana". I was thinking, "it should be everywhere in occident" because there are such place in Belgium, in France, etc. surely because WW2 which did happen everywhere. Ecellent shot!
We are dust and will return into it but .....Life is light ! A great symbol here Jock !
A sad price to pay for the defence of our Countries, haunting capture Jock. ~Cheers~
You managed to capture beside the flood light one tablet different from the others. (on the left) Nonuniform. The secretary once demanded I know, "You cannot be two places at a single time." A counseor told me in an equally demanding tone, "There is only one." So how can anyone ever win a war?
Great shot !!! We have same cimeteries in the north of France !!!
Excellent looking shot Jock
Excellent shot Jock....!!!
Excellent ! Good day :)
It's a good thing to remember those we lost that were serving our country. We have the humongous Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery here. Some of the graves are very, very old. Thanks for the peek! (:
I was watching a show the other night where they were catching ghosts in there pictures under some kind of filter lens. It was cool.
Wonderfull & impressive cat'shot that inspire respect, this is a occasion of time travel in our human historical being, Thks 4share, superb POV, xxxxx
Are the lights on flags maybe? Anyway, cool shot of the older part of this cememtary .. from the first world war I think, and the Spanish American war! I don't see your daughter in law's name anywhere .. did I miss something?
Light is superb... great symbol Jock!
Its a great shot Jock, I like the light too. Never seen that before in a graveyard. I will look now at your daughter in Law's gallery. Happy hugs, Di.
