Description
but nothing common about their beauty.they are very hard to approach and this is the closest I have got to one.I had to approach ever so slow, as it had already flew once
thanks for viewing and any comments
I dedicate this to Leeco, an exceptional macro photographer with the patience to not only wait for a perfect shot but to watch insects do their daily rituals

Fantastic macro capture!
Stunning shot, Richard!!!
GReat picture with much taste !!! Brilliant !!!
Wonderful snapshot! I love dragonflies and sometimes there are hundreds on the road in September when we go there to fish. They like the warmth of the road and it is their undoing when cars go by. Ours are brown and blue though. Have only seen a white tail like this once.
wonderful detail and a great background.

Excellent capture. Usually this species prefers to perch on the ground or flat surfaces rather than on twigs and such. This is a beautiful mature male. The full size image does the capture justice. Thanks so much for the thoughtful dedication. It is appreciated. Thanks for sharing also. Lee
