Hello all!!
Well got my computer fixed - they thought at first that the hard drive was toast but a nice computer guy managed to salvage it after hours of work...
( thanks Greg!!!...) yeaaa!
SO putting up a collage from a drive thru Northern Indiana Amish country taken in late July... I liked the big puffy clouds and old world feel of this rural very Amish Farmer/buggy ridden town called Shippshawana...
- So all pics here taken from the car with a pocket cam *and most through a dirty window-LOL~!!... on top of that it seemed near impossible to shoot from the car window as I REALLY didnt want to offend any Amish folks- found out you have to be VERY careful when taking pictures of these people locked in another time- they get offended so you have to sneak shots if any!!
so a little glimpse of this world here...
Got company comming tonight here and another b-day party here so have to run - ...

Very enjoyable collage. This culture is to be treasured. My work as an OTR truck driver took me through here frequently, until one evening I had a near miss with an un-lit buggy. I take the long way around, now.

Love it. Being an expat Hoosier from Richmond IN further to the southeast. Never been to Shippshawana but it looks pretty idyllic.

I'm a modern guy but taking whats good pushing out whats bad. What I admire mostly in these people is they integrity, they live what they think and that the most important far over personnal opinion. They are mostly respectful.

My wife has relatives in Missouri that live near a lot of Amish farms there..very hardworking industrious people...and this is really a great grouping of images...

Wow.. a beautiful view of another lifestyle in a bygone era. I remember seeing the Amish in Pa. it was a curiosity to be sure.
