Description
Not so easy to identify this dragonfly... It may be a female Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea), or a different species of Aeshna, or... ?
Who can help me ?

GORGEOUS !!!!!
I just got an E-mail : From: "Société française d'odonatologie" To: "Michel GILLARD" Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2007 7:57 PM Subject: Re: identification Libellule ? Cordialement. Benoît Prioul SFO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympetrum
Excellent macro, Michel. Superb!!
A superbe macro, dear Michel. I am glad you have this beauty identified now!! Happy evening. Hugs, kisses, bisous. DiDi.
Nice work.
Another correspondent (Jean-Michel Faton) confirmed me that it is indeed a female Sempetrum striolatum, the Common Darter ! In German : Die Große Heidelibelle In Dutch : De Bruinrode heidelibel
Entomologists are very friendly people and share their knowledge with great pleasure... thank you gentlemen !
