Description
Most of the Butterflys are gone now...so, I thought I would post this image that I took earlier this summer.
This Butty is just getting ready to taste the daisy that she's perched upon.
I find that buttys are one of the most difficult insects to photograph close up....along with bees and Ladybugs...they are continuously on the move!

Neat image with great details. In my experience, butterflies can be frustrating to photograph because they are so erratic in their movements, bees are almost (for me) impossible to capture because they never stop but I seem to do ok with ladybugs. You definitely managed to get close to this little beauty. The season for them is definitely coming to an end this year but it will return soon enough. Just think of all the bugs you can chase next spring, lol. Thanks for sharing. Lee
what an amazing extreme close-up ! How do you know it's a "she" butty ? LOL Excellent macro !
Excellent ! Good day :)
Fantastic shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most Outstanding Macro. Aloha
crazy work mate! I'd love to get some macro work like this one day but till then I'll just keep admiring what you're doing with it all... Fantastic work!
Extraordinary! Nikon, huh? :-) Great shot.
Well captured. By the way: I've had some problems to make a photo of a simple spider last time. The cob web was flying in the wind, the background was wood and my camera was unable to get the focus on the spider.
that's just incredible. i had no idea butterflies were so fuzzy. really striking portrait.
Super detail in this macro. Perfect
An exceptional macro! quite incredible.
The eyes and the body hairs focus on minute details ...amazing capture John.
