Description
This waterfall is in the town of Waterton, inside Waterton Lakes NP. There's a nice plaque at the base of the falls, with the following information:
"One of the massive folds in the ancient 600-million-year-old rocks exposed in this park has become visible through the erosional action of this waterfall. The rocks so exposed are of the Watergon Formation and constitute the oldest rocks observable anywhere in this part of the Rocky Mountains."

Great place for a quiet dip! nice shot!
Gorgeous shot! I love the angles of the rocks ... Just beautiful!
The angle on these rocks is really interesting. If I was a drinker I would be thinking I had one beer too many when I looked at this. This is an awesome shot!
Wow this is gorgeous. Love the lines and textures, and the water, wow.
FANTASTIC CAPTURE & ANGLE !!!!!
wow look at those layers!that is simply amazing! wonder if it's half an arch for an ancient town? G Excellent photo ..ty so much for sharing!
Whoa! If it weren't for the pool, I would think this picture was tilted. The rocks are crooked, obviously, but it's the trees that are really throwing me off. What a fabulous place!
Nice pov. Although not obvious at first sight, there is lots for the eye to see in this photo, I like the ancient rock formation and very welcome information with it, thanks for sharing.
What a fascinating landscape, excellently captured. Fantastic details and clarity, a superb shot!!
Such an amazing photo........tks for the info, very interesting!.....Blessings
I sure would like to see something like this. It is Soooooo beautiful. Excellent.. Aloha
Excellent capture.
My, this is wonderful. You do have an eye for the unusual. :~)
A beautiful waterfall and those rock layers are really impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic Capture !! VEEEEERYYY Beautiful .
Kinda makes you dizzy to look at this one! It is probably even more interesting during low water, when the small amount of water just follows the twisting, folded rock formations. In high water, it would just plummet over the edge and cover up all the folds. Very cool image, a bit disturbing to the equilibrium :)
Wooowww what a peaceful place which you captured very, very well!! I like the POV chosen, Excellent piece of photoart!!! Have a nice evening Henk
Beautiful ;)
For me, this is a thrilling shot! I would love to see this in person. The curve of the rock is magnificent and the waterfall really accents the rock formation.
Impressive those rocks... they form a very special waterfall. Thanks for sharing this great pic!
intriguing falls love how they fall to a tilt .... gorgeous !!....
