Description
Uhebebe Crater, North of Death Valley
Uhebebe Crater: A very interesting point in the north of Death Valley is the Uhebebe-crater, which is about 150 meters deep. The crater is the result of a powerful eruption which took many thousand years ago place; the summit of the volcano at that time, was blown away!!!
Not visible on the photo, was the very strong wind , but the temperature was quite pleasant, not as hot as on the floor of Death Valley .
Thanks, Many thanks for your kind comments on my yesterday posting!!
Have a very nice evening,
Henk, the busy “summer” painter (= ....... decorating my house .... LOL)

Wow! A very large crater! Cool capture.
Very nice work.
Really wonderful information and this view is quite compelling. I wonder if it is difficult to get down to the bottom and back out - maybe this isn't possible at all. Wonderful shot!
